4000 of this diagram 1/019 wagon were built by BR in the early 1950s for transporting farm machinery and containers. 400 were fitted with RCH brake gear, the rest with LMS type 8 shoe clasp brakes. In the 1960s and 70s they were mainly used for track maintainance (carrying ballast). The model carries bulk loads, general goods and the BD and FM containers.
