A Queensland Railways KL bogie cattle wagon - built of steel and timber construction at Both North Ipswich & Redbank Railway Workshops; this type was first built in 1972 with subsequent batches built up to 1980 built with auto couplers which were rated D1. Had a capacity for up to 24 to 26 heads of cattle. These types had long lives, as they outlasted the many changes to the railways before being finally retired due to decreasing traffic levels. Most have survived into 2014, but at dwindled numbers.
Model Notes - Mesh Created By Michael Gitsham to represent KL wagon post 1971 Safety Grey in very weathered guise as per in service during the 1980s, Has 19 attachment points for cows. Using Davido Cattle CWS. In Surveyor you need to go to rolling stock properties to enable the cattle to load for each wagon. Built to original narrow gauge specs.
