The Overland RBJ dining car.
In 1971, three Second-Class BJ cars built for The Overland, BJ1, BJ2, and BJ3 were modified to include a buffet. All 3 were converted to standard gauge in 1995 with the rest of The Overland carriages, and they were included in the transfer of Australian National's passenger assets to Great Southern Rail in 1997. All 3 continued in service until 2007, when The Overland was relaunched with a refurbished consist for daylight services. RBJ1 and RBJ2 were put out of service and sold to GWA in 2010 for conversion to a crew car, while RBJ3 was retained as part of the refurbished consist and renamed Cafe 828. This trainz asset depicts RBJ3 in its current form as Cafe 828.
Thanks to original author Rob Shaw for giving me permission to release this modified asset.
