A GER area 5 plank private owner wagon with single sided brakes. Craske were, and still are, one of the larger merchants in the Lowestoft area. Unfortunately, no records exist at their offices of the number of vehicles owned. No. 12 has a five-plank body with side doors only. When built, the wagon would have had grease axleboxes, open spoke wheels and brakes and brake lever on one side of the underframe only. Later in its life, when rebuilding took place, the braking system would have been improved to include all wheels. Craske supplied coal to both the domestic market as well as to commercial markets in Lowestoft such as the herring trawler fleet.

The model has single sided brakes using Ed Heaps's excellent wagon underframe components.
