The 'Terriers' were apparently so named because they were small and agile. Designed by William Stroudley for the LBSC Railway, 50 Locomotives were built between 1872 and 1880. A few were sold off for use on light railways, rebuilding of the truncated LBSCR fleet to A1X specification (new boilers and an extended smokebox) took place in 1911. A few were sold off for use on light railways and 10 are preserved. This model is a representative of 'Stephney' in the Burnt Umber scheme withouth the IOW-style bunker. Thanks to Paul Hobbs for the approval for this reskin.
