A leftover from the DRGW days, the West Local ran twice weekly from Denver to the industrial lead at Rocky. The local served several industries around the locality including Mesa Oil and the now closed Rocky Flats Plant which produced parts for nuclear weapons. Operated by Union Pacific the West Local continues to serve the aggregate plant at the end of the spur.
