Lake Tahoe Railway & Transportation Co. 24 foot wooden platform / flat car.
In 1899, the entire holdings of the C&TL&F were sold off. Eight flatcars went to the NCNG along with the locomotives 'Tahoe' and 'Santa Cruz', while the remaining stock was shipped to Tahoe City and became the Lake Tahoe Railway & Transportation Company. This model represents the fleet of 36 flatcars that had been rebuilt to 24 feet in length, but were not used for other service when they arrived in California. Flatcar 6 was rebuilt as a pile driver, while cars 8 and 13 were rebuilt as tank cars.
This model is based on and uses the standard features of Pencil42's excellent 30 foot flatcars.
Painted in yellow ochre with black detail parts.
22 feet long. 10,150 pounds unloaded; 12 ton capacity.
