Station sign introduced across Ireland to show both As Gaeilge and English versions of the station name. Originally introduced by the Great Southern Railways in the '30s in old Irish with certain letters carrying the séimhiú (the dot over the letter), these signs carried on through the days of CIÉ although with a lot of the signs being edited to carry a 'h' instead of the séimhiú, after the government removed the séimhiú from the irish alphabet in the '60s. Overall these signs survived in Ireland till the '80s when they were gradually replaced by newer signs with black text and white background. Feel free to reskin and upload your own Irish Signs to the DLS, the font I used was Bunchló GC and Gill Sans MT. Make sure to credit myself for the original mesh and also make sure the Irish spelling is correct, if in doubt, ask.
