This enginespec is based on the VR S Class enginespec, the original of which is by billegulla. Thanks Bill. It has been modified by me to replicate the power of large US locomotives, to reduce the safety valve noise and to make the boiler pressure more responsive to cut off, regulator setting and speed. Try to drive with a fully open regulator and adjust the cut off to maintain boiler pressure and speed. The boiler pressure of a locomotive with this enginespec will fall as the locomotive accelerates to 40mph with a 1,000 ton load on level track, but will regain full pressure as the cut off is reduced to maintain that speed. The enginespec is suitable for most large US locomotives of the size and power of the SP Cab Forward.
