The ALCO Century 425 was a four-axle, 2500 horsepower (1.875 MW) diesel locomotive of the road switcher type. 91 were built between October 1964 and December 1966.The Alco C-425 Locomotive was part of the Century series marketed by the American Locomotive Company. This one was built and delivered to the New Haven railroad. Shortly after the Penn Central was formed, the Penn Central was directed to take over the NH operations, hence that is why this unit wears the minimum PC markings.
