During 1918 20 pieces of G locomotives were delivered to SJ from Germany of Prussian type G8 for putting into
freight traffic. They soon got renamed to type Ga. Maximum speed was set to 55 km/h and the traction force was 16MP.
The original boilers were replaced in 1929-1932 by Swedish BGB boilers. Loco type was changed to G2. In addition, two of the locomotives were fitted with
front runner for among others increasing the speed (SJ type G4).
During its active period, a few locomotives were purchased by TGOJ, BJ and the Dutch State. The locomotives finished their career in northern Sweden during
the mid 60's and then among others around Örnsköldsvik.
The modeled locomotive G2 1414 was abolished in 1973 and scrapped in Notviken 1974.
No G2 or G4 locomotives are preserved.

År 1918 levererades 20 stycken G lok till SJ från Tyskland av preussisk typ G8 för att sättas in i
godstågstrafik. De döptes snart om till Ga. Största tillåtna hastighet sattes till 55 km/t och dragkraften blev 16Mp.
De ursprungliga pannorna ersattes under 1929-1932 till svenska BGb pannor. Litterat ändrades till G2.
Dessutom försågs 2 av loken med främre löphjul för att bl.a kunna höja hastigheten en aning (SJ typ G4).
Under sin aktiva tid köptes några lok av TGOJ, BJ och holländska staten.
Loken avslutade sin karriär i norra Sverige under mitten av 60-talet och då bl.a kring Örnsköldsvik.
Det modellerade loket G2 1414 slopades 1973 och skrotades i Notviken 1974.
Inga G2 eller G4 lok finns bevarade.

Some features in the Driver Mode assume you have started and stopped the engine at least once before
you can activate them, such as:
(Ställa av loket) = Disconnecting the locomotive in Driver mode. No driver, no smoke, no sound etc.
Activate injector outlet
Activating cylinder outlet Lots of smoke from cylinders when starting up the loco.
Sotare = increase air in the smoke box when loco is stopped.
