This is a reskin of Dave Snow's 50 ft. Hy-Cube Boxcar Unlettered Type 3 without ARN. This represents a heritage car labeled for the long gone Detroit, Bay City & Western RR, one of the last railroads to be incorporated in Michigan. It layed its last rails by 1916 connecting Bay City with Port Huron. The line lasted until 1953 when its last train movement occured by its owner, John Gray. On June 8, 1953, Mr. Gray decided to move an engine out of Caro to pick up some old equipment that was left on the road when the operation ceased. After picking up the equipment he suffered a heart attack and died at the thottle, I guess a way that any railroader would have wanted it.
