In November 1994 two VOFX wagons numbered 133 and 1036 where modified by removing the doors, sides cut out and getting container brackets fitted for Container Traffic around Victoria and recoded to VQOX keeping their original numbers, in March and April 1995 another 4 VOBX, 8 VOFX and 1 VOCX numbered 11, 31, 58, 99, 101, 110, 302, 355, 1091, 1092, 1121, 1157 and 1164 where converted due to a lack of Broad Gauge container wagons in Victoria with a large number of VQFX and VQCX going to National Rail Corporation. Locations they where seen at are Bendigo, Tottenham and Dynon on Grain and Rice traffic. In 1999 these where transfered to Freight Australia as part of the sale of V/Line Freight, from 2001 the VQOX had their ends removed and twist locks fitted to allow it to carry one 40ft or two 20ft and recoded to VQOF keeping their original numbers.
