A Victorian Railways Cast Steel 40 Ton Ride Control bogie with Roller Bearings and disc wheels, these where designed for use on Broad Gauge and Standard Gauge bogie exchange rollingstock. This is the Back Bogie on Broad Gauge and is painted Red with a W.C of 5ft 9in and 3ft 0 1/4in dia wheels, b.r.base0, is located Z-Axis 0.
The BB 30 bogies was one of the first roller bearing cast steel bogies designed for exchanging bogies between Broad Guage and Standard Guage, it was built from 1958 or 1959 and where fitted to BLF, VLF, CJ and ALF, from 1962 it was replaced by the newer design ELF 30, while the remaining BB 30 bogies where fitted to stock when there where bogie shortages or replacing older plain bearing type.
