A Victorian Railways Cast Steel 50 Ton Ride Control bogie with Roller Bearings and disc wheels, these where designed for use on Broad Gauge and Standard Gauge bogie exchange rollingstock. This is the Back Bogie on Standard Gauge and is painted Red with a W.C of 5ft 9in and 3ft 0 1/4in dia wheels, b.r.base0, is located Z-Axis 0.
The WGNS SG 30 was one of the first bogies built for use on Standard Guage into New South Wales, it was built from 1961 for ELF, VLF and QCF Wagons for use on the Standard Guage, the Code 'F' was changed with a 'X' in 1963 with 'X' meaning bogie exchange, it was replaced by the newer design WGNS 30/30B type from 1970's which could have the wheels swapped out with 5ft 3in or 4ft 8.5in while the WGNS SG 30 had the frames built to 4ft 8.5in wheelsets only.
