The Barframe bogie was built by the American Car & Foundry company in the U.S.A. and assembled at Newport workshops to be used on heavier goods stock and could reach speeds of 45mph, it was fitted to E Open Wagons, S Flat Wagons and V Vans.
The bogie was also used on other stock later in the years, This is the Front Bogie, it is painted in the modern Wagon Red, has a Disc and a Spoke, wheel diameter of 3ft0 1/4in and a wheelbase of 5ft9in and 4 coil springs on each side with plain bearings, b.r.base0 is located Z-Axis 0.
