The Barframe bogie was built by the American Car & Foundry company in the U.S.A. and assembled at Newport workshops to be used on heavier goods stock and could reach speeds of 45mph, it was fitted to E Open Wagons, S Flat Wagons and V Vans.
The bogie was also used on other stock later in the years, This is the Front Bogie, it is painted in the early Wagon Red, has 10 spokes, wheel diameter of 3ft0 1/4in and a wheelbase of 5ft9in and 4 coil springs on each side with plain bearings, b.r.base0 is located Z-Axis 0.
