Victorian Railways Physic for Roller Bearing Wagon Stock.
This e-spec is specifically for the VR and V/Line ALF, BLF/VBBY, FQF/VQCY, SFF/VFLY, SKF, TWF/VTQY, TWF/VTGY, VP/VLPY and VFTY Wagons.
Also best on 21-30 ton Cars Unloaded Tare Weight and up to 70tons loaded, anything lighter or heavier makes it handle different, the physic has been set up for the wagons that had the Grade Control system removed because there where wagons being lost to New South Wales and the Government could not stand having a wagon earning revenue for another company, by removing the grade control and coding a Y or F instead of an X means it is no longer bogie exchange and is not allowed on the Standard Gauge or into NSW, the brake ratio is also based on Load Compensating System which means the values are set for a fully loaded wagon's max braking effort, only issue is unloaded wagons will brake too hard, The Load Compensating Lever reduces the max brake cylinder pressure to 27PSI for unloaded wagons while loaded wagons get the full 50 PSI pressure, hopefully one day N3V puts a brake cylinder efficiency tag in the scripts so we can control it for loaded or unloaded wagons.
Brake Pipe: 72 PSI Max
Brake Cylinder: (1) 12in x 12in 50 PSI Max
Brake Ratio: 33.0% - 80.0%
