Marylebone Station in Post Refurbishment Condition. Having survived a closure threat in 1984, Marylebone Station was looking decidedly rundown, with the formation of Network Southeast in 1986, this implemented a program of system wide investment, by the early 90s, this included Marylebone Station and the Chiltern lines. Unfortunately to fund the refurbishment, a trainshed and two original platforms were removed freeing up the land for redevelopment, with two new platforms added in the former cab road. The station was sympathetically refurbished, with additional retail units, and a new ticket office added in a period clapboard style, to harmonise with the stations neo-baroque style. With the old ticket office also becoming retail space.
