The Gherkin Skyscraper, aka 30 St Mary's Axe, stands at 180m tall, making it a very prominant feature of London's skyline, Construction took around 3 years and opened in April 2004. It was built to a very unusual circular design earning it the nickname'The Gherkin' due to the towers unconventional shape.
