A low-visibility scenery asset with a script that controls the transfer of section staffs between a locomotive (fitted with a staff queue) and either a Safeworking Officer,<kuid:368725:15000> or, if the Safeworking Officer is not active, a staff instrument such as <kuid:368725:90023> and <kuid:368725:90016>.
The SWO initiates a transfer of a staff or ticket by clicking on a control button contained in a browser managed by this asset's script(see the 'SWO Controller Rule' <kuid:368725:60021>).
When a train is stopped within a yard, the active SWO can collect the staff for the prior section and deliver the staff for the next section using separate control buttons.
When a train does not need to stop within a yard, the loco to SWO and SWO to loco staff transfers may be inititated using a single 'staff exchange' control button while the train is moving over a staff-transfer track.
A naming convention must be followed to associate this asset with a section of track defined by 2 inward-pointing track marks. The track marks are named '<location code>_Staff_<track number>_<origin staff pattern>_<destination staff pattern>'.
At a terminus, there will be only 1 staff section and so 1 valid staff pattern. For the naming of track marks, the destination staff pattern will not exist for incoming trains and the origin staff pattern will not exist for outgoing trains. Use the dummy value 'X' for non-existent staff patterns in the track-mark names.
The staff-transfer track asset is named '<location code>_STT_<track number>'. An example of a valid name of this asset is 'CNJ_STT_2', where the asset relates to the second staff-transfer track at location CNJ.
