A one-room building, 10ft frontage by 12ft deep, provided by NSWGR for the storage of small goods consignements or of supplies required to maintain station and signal oil lamps. The walls are clad in weatherboard and the gabled roof in corrugated iron.
The oout-of shed and lamp room were usually located on a station platform. Brick piers have been provided on the rear edge for cases where the lamp room projects beyond the rear of the platform.
