From 1948 250 CW cattle wagons entered service over several years. The body style remained similar to earlier CWs, but they were fitted to the postwar standard 10ft wheelbase auto coupled steel underframe.
This model is fitted with hook and chain couplings, which is not historically accurate for the 1948 CW design. It is provided for compatibility with trains using hook and chain couplings. CW mocel <kuid:368725:15042> has auto-coupling knuckle couplers.
12 cattle could be fitted into the wagon, though animal commodity models permit only 10 to be shown.
Running numbers are automatically assigned in the range 20320 to 20964. Ranges of historical running numbers for hook-and-chain coupled wagons were non-contiguous and widespread. The auto-assigned range is fictitious.
