First Class passenger car with seating for 42 passengers in seven compartments.
Built by Clyde Engineering for the NSW Government Railways between 1935 and 1937.
These and the similar FS Second Class cars were the first all steel body passenger cars built for the NSWGR.
The 'Tuscan' colour scheme was in use from the late 1950s until the 1970s.
Some of these cars remained in service until the 1990s.
