Welcome to the Docklands Light Railway. The DLR first opened in 1987 to serve new developments on the Isle of Dogs in East London. The route primarily ran in two sections - Island Gardens to Stratford or Tower Gateway. The DLR was so succesful that a number of upgrades and extension were commisioned almost immediately after it first opened. This included extensions west to Bank (1991), east to Beckton (1994), south to Lewisham (1999) and south east to King George V (2005). Further more extensions are under construction to Woolwich Arsenal and Stratford International along with a proposed extension to Dagenham Dock. This route depicts the DLR with the opening of the extension to King George V. Needs scenery. Gradients and mileage are not precise but pretty close.
