Garage Accessory Series Castrol Forecourt Sign (Open)
These signs, designed to spin in the wind, and with a simple hinged top flap to display 'closed' or 'open' were a very common fixture at the entrance to petrol stations and garages throughout the second half of the twentieth century, with examples surviving even later in smaller rural establishments.
