Industrial Buildings Series Factory Chimney 50ft high, Short Base, Smoky Brown Brick, Ladder.
A less high and complex chimney, as found in smaller factories in mixed residential industrial areas, inspired by one in James St., Dundee, demolished just a few years ago. The octagonal base on the original was in stone, and integral to the building's side, so I've taken a liberty here by making it all brick. The modest height has enabled me to add a metal ladder, a common aid to maintenance on smaller chimneys. This new version uses a weathered skin which has needed remapping and a shortening of the baase below ground level, thus curtailing flexibility in height adjustment.
