Nissen Hut 24ft Double Door Front Pale Weathered Brick 6 Dormers Patched Corrugate
Originally designed during WW1, the prefabricated Nissen Hut, cheap and easy to erect with its semi-cylindrical corrugated roof,
became a standard fixture at many military establishments, then, after a falling-off during the period between, were even more
ubiquitous during WW2.
Although many have been left to rot and disintegrate over the intervening years, there are still plenty of survivors to be found,
often in agricultural or industrial use following post-war disposition.
There are three standard diameters for the roofs, 16, 24, and 30 ft, whilst the modular bays are 6ft long.
There was no standard pattern for fronts and backs, so a bewildering number of varieties have existed.
This version represents a standard 24ft block with double doors and windows, as might be used for assembly, workshop or stroage purposes. A common variant had bigger double doors on a outrigger frame permitting vehicle entrance for maintenance or garaging, and I've made these as a separate item so that you can have either version - or both, as in the screenshot (SBS NH24 DOD RC).
