Scottish Buildings Series Police Station Blue Lamp
The traditional sign of British police stations, the blue lamp, originally a gas lamp but now replaced with an electric version, is still to be found outside many stations, particularly those in outlying areas. Many rural Scottish cop shops still have them, although the glass has been renewed to the incorporate the new nine square checkerboard logo of the Unitary Police Authority, which replaced the previous individual regional services and enforcement agancies. This version has night mode .
