One of the larger-sized shopfronts which will fit the gaps in the SU series of Shop Units. Based on my photographs of the Post Office in Airlie Street, Alyth, Perthshire, taken a couple of years ago, this represents a rare survivor of the once-common old-style British Post Offices, most of which disappeared in the rationalisation and modernisation of the service from the 1980s onward. Apart from the proliferation of notices in the windows, the frontage seems to have changed little since the post-war years, so far I can see from the tiny picture of the building in the 1950s which can be found online.
The dimensions have been reduced slightly, and I've removed tthe word 'Alyth' from the fascia then recentred the rest, so it should suit almost any British location in the last sixty years or so.
