Lingheds sawmill began in 1897 as the Linghed Steam sawmill. Founded by lake
Svärdsjon in Dalarna and it is rather typical of the kind of sawmills that were common in Sweden up until ca.1940.
Operations were shut down in 1937 and today nothing can be seen on the site. The mill got its timber from a local
timber rafting company on the river system leading to the lake. So a big wire crane and 2 timber splines completed
the setup. The mill is a functional industry which produces local timber kuid:101046:106748. It will load up to 42
loads on the loading ramp at the rate of 2 loads per 30 seconds. Triggers for loading are by the small crane.
Also, I would like to give many, many thanks to Bjorn Lindell for his allowing me this opportunity to upgrade his
building assets which will include many of his bridges. He would be the original author of 200 trainz assets.
