Harrow on the Hill Station was originally opened as a terminus upon the extension of the Metropolitan railway from Willesdon Green in 1880, however became a through station when the line was further extended Pinner in 1885, eventually reaching Aylesbury in 1892.
This model represents Harrow on the Hill post 1938-39 rebuilding undertaken by London Transport, The station has remained mostly unaltered since rebuilding and is an excellent example of late 30s LU architecture.
