This tall steel viaduct is based on the Lawyers canyon Viaduct next to US-90 a few miles
south of Craigmont, Idaho. At 276 ft tall it was (at the time) the tallest structure of its kind. The
concrete footings are deliberately longer then needed. The two tallest towers should be imbeded in the
ground so only 2 or 3 ft shows. This allows the others to follow the slope of the ground as they do on
real one.
