This is a meter gauge version of the iron Thai-Burma Bridge (better known as the Bridge Over The River Kwai).
It is not an exact copy but it is fairly close. Today it is primarily a tourist attraction (hence the walkway) but at least one train a
day crosses the span so the escape platforms are necessary. Many thanks to Martin Van Kuilenburg (martinvk) for the many pictures
taken during his trip in 2003. NOTE! This can be converted to 3 ft gauge by changing the kuid for the built-in rail-only track in the
config file. The difference is small enough that the stringers under the ties will still be under the rails.
