An updated version of my original TANE Bodmin & Wenford route updated for Trainz 2019, with newer LIDAR height data, TurfFX, more baseboards, improved assets, rebuilt stations and more.

The modern day heritage Bodmin & Wenford railway in Bodmin, Cornwall, UK.

The railway has two seperate lines which diverge from the main station at Bodmin General in the middle of the map. Bodmin General has a stone station building, signal box, a locomotive shed, workshop shed, two platforms (The 2nd newly built in 2020), and various sidings.

One line runs down the Fowey valley to Bodmin Parkway, the Eastern terminus of the line also a station on the Cornish mainline with the heritage railway having it's own platform, runaround loop and small yard, as well as a siding connecting to the mainline. There is also a small halt at Colesoggett, and sidings at Walker lines Industrial estate.
The other line heads West down the Camel valley to Boscarne Junction, the current Western terminus of the line, now no longer an actual railway junction, but has a single platform and a runaround loop, with the Camel Trail cycle path alongside.

HISTORY.
The Great Western Railway built a branchline from Bodmin Road to the town of Bodmin, 3 miles away, which opened on 27th May 1887.
A year later they opened a second line (2.5 miles long) from Bodmin General to Boscarne Junction to connect with the Bodmin and Wadebridge Railway's line which ran from Wadebridge to Bodmin North with a branch to wenfordbridge, opening on 3rd September 1888.
The North Cornwall line was built later connecting to Wadebridge and ending at Padstow.

The North Cornwall line and the Wadebridge to Bodmin North line closed in 1964. Although the section from Wenfordbridge to Boscarne survived as did the sections from Bodmin General to Bodmin Road allowing freight traffic to continue through to Bodmin Road. This traffic stopped in 1983. The original goods shed, loco shed and signal box were all demolished,although the station building survived, and the present signal box is a replica.
the Bodmin Railway Preservation Society was formed in 1984, and passenger services restarted to Bodmin Road in 1990 and to Boscarne Junction in 1996.
The old Bodmin & Wadebridge railway trackbed is now a cycle trail, going through Wadebridge and onto Padstow, along the Camel estuary.
