The 6S series reefer cars were designed by CBK-PTK Poznan in 1960 and built between 1960 and 1961 by PaFaWag Wroclaw. They served primarily for fruit and vegetable transit, sometimes also used as reefers for meat products. All were retired in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
