Shortly after World War 2,polish railroad stock factories started producing new variations of heating cars, since Bauart 42 and older heating cars of prewar conctruction were not enough to power all passenger trains withouth the proper number of passenger locomotives. The 1C was invented as a modernisation of 14A carbody. Shortended coach had water boilers and steam stove installed. A group of these was running on branch lines even as long as till the early 1980s. After that they were removed and scrapped. At least one survived in a rail museum.
