DB bar coach Type ARkimbz with Interregio colours.
In the 1990s, so called Interregio trains filled the gap between fast Intercity and regional comuter trains. So they can be seen as a modernized version of the traditional German D-Zug. Like the Intercities, Interregios traveled at speeds up to 200 km/h, yet they served more stations. The comfort was high, a typical consist included this bar coach. Still Tickets were cheaper than for an Intercity. Regretably Interregios were put out of service in 2002 despite the protest from many customers.
