A small locomotive shed for one or two shunting locomotives. The adjacent building might contain a work shop, storage and office space. It is not modeled after a specific exemplar but represents a type frequently found in Southern Germany during the steam age. Locomotive sheds of this type were found at minor railway stations, where small shunters were permanently stationed. It might also be suitable as depot for a privately owned branch line which owned only one or two small tank locomotives. Some of these buildings even survived into the age of diesel powered shunters and railcars.
