Due to the restricted space at Bembridge there wasn't enough room for the traditional turn-out arrangement for loco release so a small turntable was installed but acting as a sector plate. The original table was only 16.5ft but with the introduction of the O2 class loco this was replaced with a 25ft table. With such a small table it is not always easy to click the operating arrows, it takes a bit of practice, but AI functions very well. To allow AI working place some invisible rails on the 'blind side' of the table with invisible buffers. A track-mark with a radius on 0.01m place towards the rear will allow an A1X or O2 to be driven under AI onto the table.
