28' Wooden combination box car built for the Virginia & Truckee Railroad in 1872 by the Central Pacific Shops in Sacramento, CA.
As it might have looked sometime between 1902 and 1917, as various safety equipment was added and changed.
9 tons unloaded; 15 ton capacity
Originally painted yellow, but repainted red by the 1880's
Upgraded to Sams automatic couplers 1897/98; air brakes 1899/1900; and Tower knuckle couplers 1902. The ventilated hatches and doors were likely removed around this time.
Detrucked December 1918 at ES 1645+75 (Carson yards).
Retrucked and sold to Paramount in 1938 for movie work; scrapped in 1969.
Carries old west general goods and hay.

Animated brake wheel and shoes in cab mode; sways side-to-side while in motion.
