A total of 65 Dreadnought or Centre Aisle type tramcars were built between 1908 and 1925.
Several modifications were made over the years in an effort to improve safety and comfort for both passengers and crew,
resulting in many variations. This model is shown with the 6 oval window body, tramway type lifeguards and Brill 39e trucks.
This tram represents Numbers 138 - 144, 146 - 150 and 171 - 174.
No 140 was converted to a mobile advertising tram in 1961, undergoing severe modifications as a result. It has been preserved in the Brisbane Tramway Museum.
The body of 174 has been preserved by the Brisbane Tramway Museum.
No.143 was built in 1916 and is presented here the way it would have appeared after repainting in 1962 after being returned to traffic after the Paddington fire.
Repaired by pcas1986 for DLS repair.
