VR peanut whistle
This sound is a VR 'peanut' whistle as used by some early steam locomotives on the Victorian Railways. This specific sound is of the peanut whistle formerly fitted to G41, whilst attached to the George & George boiler at Menzies Creek museum. Note, this boiler only operates at 70PSI, which does give a somewhat different sound, when compared to being used on a 120PSI (or similar) boiler.
This whistle is a 3 part looped whistle, with a short 'pop' of the whistle on the end, and an echo.
Much thanks to Steve Lerro for editing and cleaning up this whistle sound.
