The 12 ton 'Longfit' wagon was designed to carry pipes and most had 'Empty to Staveley Works NE' or 'Empty to Stanton Iron Works, Ilkeston LNE' inscribed on them. They came in to widths, this one being 8ft over the bodywork. This model represent the final batch built in 1947 to diagram 103, numbered 296945 - 297014. This model is in weathered BR Bauxite wagon livery
