MidCen Dispatcher 1, a session for the Midwest Central route, Release 3 Beta2, <kuid2:87783:1346:1> October 2008.

In this, the first of several free-form railroading scenarios, you assume the role of dispatcher. As such, it will be up to you to plan and execute the day's activities. You'll start with a with a list of cargo to be moved, where to pick it up and where to take it. To do that, you have a collection of available cars, motive power and train crew. It will up to you to plan your consists, assign drivers to them and designate the routes they take. Expect to deal with other traffic, of course, both other MidCen trains and 'foreign' trains from Amtrak, BNSF and Union Pacific.

Okay, Dispatcher, the clock is ticking and you've got crew people standing around drinking coffee. Get 'em going and let's get it done. As always, let's keep it safe out there.

Difficulty: This a complex session and will require 90 minutes or more to play.
