This is an inpection pit that would be outside of a backshop or near a mainline servicing terminal. This is where locomotives would receive their inspections prior to maintenance. Usually, this facility would be 90 feet long to accomodate two locomotives at a time. It should be covered when not in use. This model uses Mike10's rails only tracks and Andi Smith's (andi6) AJS Dighole.
In order to install this pit properly, you must use dighole to create the hole in the ground first. Dighole is KUID 122285:1010. It makes a 1x1 grid hole in the terrain that you can then place the inspection pit over. Note how the inspection pit has ramps to allow workers to enter. Be sure to place the pit over the hole appropriately in order to show the ramps.
