CFR 2st class car.The Type Y-coaches were built by VEB Waggonbau Bautzen and VEB Waggonbau Grlitz (the bogies). The Type Y was an improvement of the Type B-standard coach built between 1962 and 1964.
The new development adapted both, the regulations of OSShD (Type B) and of UIC (Type Y).In the 1970s, Type Y/B70 was developed from this type.
Many railway companies throughout the middle and eastern Europe used these coaches. Some of still use them today, unalterd or mordenized.
Thanks a lot to Vilem Jansky for making this wonderful car and sharing it with me.
