Still another longstanding project of mine, the fabled Empire Builder, which ran under the GN herald from the early 20th century through the end of private passenger service and still runs under Amtrak to this day. Empire Builder cars with Lake in the name can be a bit confusing. Generally, if the word Lake preceeds the name, it is a dining car, if the word Lake follows the name, it is a Ranch Lunch Counter car. the exception to this rule of thumb is on the Great Dome Lounge, Lake View, it is a cocktail lounge.
