Great Northern caboose, inspired by the caboose owned by a berry farmer in Puyallup, WA, where I picked berries as a teenager. I believe it now resides somewhere up north of Seattle. He, of course, is no longer with us, just for the record, his name was Henry Welzel, he had a housekeeper named Freda. Typical farmer, wore bibs, barnyard boots, got up before the crack of dawn, and he liked trains, had a collection of crossing signals, crossbucks and the caboose x-294. The conductor on board is my father, who passed away in 2011, he was a lifelong railfan, and indeed, a former employee of the NP as well.
