This is a detailed model of the railway bridge, as built by the VR Ways and Works Branch, to span the Mundic Creek near the town of Nowa Nowa on the line to Orbost in Gippsland, Eastern Victoria, in 1914. The bridge is constructed from a mixture of 8 23 Ft. 6 In. (7.2 M) rolled steel joist spans and 11 15 Ft. (4.5 M) Timber Beam spans on 11 standard design Timber piers and 3 standard design Timber bents. The bridge also boasts support from 2 uniquely designed Triangular Piers and 3 Trestle style piers, all the brain-child of VR designer and Engineer Charles H. Perrin. It is a single track of railway bridge, built 'on the level' and 'dead straight' and is provided with attachment points at the appropriate location to add track, at each end, using the AJS ''Track Eraser'' spline, which will 'adapt' to any track attached to it. Despite being modelled on a specific prototype, the bridge may be used in any suitable location withn a VR themed route (or any other, for that matter), where a bridge of this design is suitable. The asset intended for use in Trainz version TS2009 and above.
